Hexa the Hexapod-Hexcopter mashup kit

hexawalker_0332

So we have received a lot of feed back on our Hexacopter and Hexapod mashup. We really appreciate all the great input, and positive feedback!

Many people have left comments and emails asking us if we plan on releasing this a kit. We have been wondering if we should given all the interest, and finally figured out what we think the best solution would be.

We plan on launching a Kickstarter (hopefully, obviously we will have to be approved for one) campaign to see if all the interest in a kit is genuine as we would have to sell 5-10 kits to make to make it a meaningful endeavor at a price point that is anything close to reasonable.

Make sure to check back, as we will announce as soon as the Kickstarter campaign is up.

Back Ordered On Crius AIOP Flight Controllers

We just wanted to let everyone know we are currently back ordered on Crius AIOP . This applies to all products of ours that make use of them (Gimbals, and Multi-Rotors).

However, we are able to offer the ArduFlyer, which is 100% compatible with the APM 2.5. We will be posting details on this flight controller a little later today, and updating our product pages to reflect these changes.

If you are still interested in purchasing a product with the Crius AIOP, please be aware we are currently waiting to hear when we will receive our next shipment.

Thanks for your understanding.

Mad Labs Is Moving

Hey Everyone,

We just wanted to let everyone know we are in the process of moving to a new location, based in Naperville, IL. In fact we are almost eighty percent of the way through the move, and have now gotten most of the larger equipment moved in and setup.

This new location of course gives us a larger location for our equipment, shop space, offices, more inventory, and some room to grow. This means we will be able to stock a wider range of products that some people have been asking about.

Here are some pictures of the shop during the some of the build out, and part of the move in. Once we get everything setup we will post some more pictures.

Knock Knock, Anyone home?

Just a quick little update for everyone since we haven’t done one recently. We have just been extra busy working on a couple different projects which we are getting ready to release here over the next couple days. Look for some cool information on the new projects, videos of them, and fun source code to play with.

Site Updates

Hey Everyone,

Over the next 48 hours we will be attempting to do a lot of updating to the site. We do not anticipate any down time or interruptions in service, however wilder things have happened.

During this time we will be cleaning up and re-organizing some of the existing product pages, adding some new products, and getting together some more information a bout the hackerspace.

Thank you for your patience.

New Products at 4am!

So who likes new products? We know we do! And what better time to release some then at 4 in the morning? Makes sense to us.

The big product is the first to be released platform from our Multi-Rotor line. It is a quick, and durable multi-rotor intended for sport and FPV usage. The Second product is our Rugged Project Cases for the Arduino UNO and Mega footprints that we posted some 3D models of before.

Welcome to Mad Lab Industries

The site is under a bit of construction, and for this we apologize.

If your not already familiar with who we are you may be asking, “What is Mad Labs?” This is not an uncommon question, in fact the most common question people ask us is “What exactly is it you guys do?”.

We are never really sure how to answer them. The simple answer is, if its fun and or dangerous, we do it. To get a better idea of what we do check out our services, products, and projects sections.

Check back soon as things will be changing rapidly.
